One perfect day
We’ll be out walking
Something is calling me Oh Oh
This perfect day
I can’t stop thinking
Are you over there?
Are you happy there?
… “One Perfect Day, is a song by Australian band “Little Heroes” (1982). This song was quite popular in Australia at the time. I’m not sure if the band received international success but if you’d like to have a quick listen to the song, click here: http://youtu.be/01CXvTZo2Y4 . You’ll only need to listen to the first 10 seconds to know if you’ll like it or not.
Update: I’ve been informed that depending on where you live, the above video link may not work. If so, please try this one: http://youtu.be/wPeci2F2cMs or google “little heroes one perfect day”.

This last photo was taken in the last few minutes before sunset. I was actually in my car and driving towards the park exit when I came upon this section of the park just at the right time. The light was so warm and seasonally perfect on the row of trees. I quickly parked, got out of the car and took the photo.
It’s the last week of Autumn here and this is the fourth consecutive instalment of my series of autumn colour and light photos. If you missed the earlier 3 in the series, just look at my last 3 posts until you reach Follow the yellow brick road? . Winter officially starts this weekend. The last photos in this series will come Friday or Saturday.
These are brilliant! The light, the colours, the mood… This is perfect. Now Im off to listen to that song. 10 seconds, huh?
Thank you kindly. I hope you’re having a perfect day. 🙂
Like like like the song! Surprised i never heard it earlier. Thanks for sharing!
Before you were born? 🙂 I don’t know that they had much international success back in the old days.
Wow!!!!! Wonderful pics, congratulations… 😉
Thanks very much. 🙂
I wanted to listen to the song and it said something about EMI and it’s protected from me watching it since I’m in another country. I don’t know what country you are in because I, well, I just don’t know. I loved your beautiful pictures. I SO wish I could ride my horse there.

Sorry about that. I just added a new link into the post and hopefully that will work. If not, if you google for “little heroes one perfect day” you should find a video that will work in your area.
Many thanks for the comments. I’m in the land down under (Australia).
Beautiful! The colours and light you’ve captured are breathtaking 🙂
Thanks very much. Much appreciated. 🙂
Really, truly blows my mind that you are beginning winter when we are beginning summer. I guess I never really paid good enough attention in Geography class!
What would your geography teacher say if they knew that! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Couldn’t remember the teachers name even if I tried!
Thanks for the Autumn series – we are just heading in to Summer as our Spring is ending. I’ll check the band link – sorry to say that I have not heard of Little Heroes, but it is never too late to learn about something 🙂
Thanks for the comment. Before the days of MTV and the internet, smaller bands struggled for publicity outside of their demographics. It’s so easy to become famous for 15 minutes these days.
Yes, a little too easy and that “fame” is always in quotes.
It sure was a perfect day! I love the colours in these photos 🙂
Thank you very much. 🙂
so beautiful and vivid colours…great photographs.
Thank you. The light was wonderful that afternoon.
Yes indeeed, it was a perfect day and thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you kindly Sheri.
How beautiful these are.
In a few weeks, we begin our summer!
Thank you. I look forward to your summer photography to get me through the winter.
Sure looks perfect over there 🙂 and yes EMI blocked the link.
Thanks. A shame that the video was blocked. 😦
Vibrant colors. 🙂 Would love to see more shots of different types of “fall trees” with different shades of yellows, reds, and orange if you have time! (and close to you in Sydney)
Unfortunately most trees where I am are evergreens and it is almost winter so I can’t oblige your request for now. Maybe next year. 🙂
Wow!
🙂
Thanks for the link back to this post LD. A truly splendid bench 😀
And a beautiful autumn day in Sydney – such gorgeous colours. I am not used to seeing your blog in colour (though I know you do post in colour). I associate your name with black and white street photography.
xx
Thank you. I do like to step outside the chocolate box occasionally. 🙂
