“You’re forgiven…”
Sydney January 2015 (2 photos)
Still alone, staring on
Wishing her life goodbye
As she goes searching for the man long forgiven
But not forgotten
You’re forgiven, not forgotten
You’re forgiven, not forgotten
You’re forgiven, not forgotten
You’re forgiven, not forgotten
Forgiven, Not Forgotten features on the debut album of the same name by Irish folk rock group The Corrs.
…
Over at the WordPress Weekly Photo challenge, the topic is Intricate. Intricate is an adjective that may be defined as “having many interrelated parts or facets; entangled or involved”, or “complex; complicated; hard to understand/work/make”.
Is there much in life more intricate than human relationships?
“… not forgotten”
Excellent. Prefer the second shot, after the menu has been moved.
Thanks and agreed, but I have no control over such things. 🙂
That’s the thing about this sort of photography, so many elements you have no control over, which is where a certain amount of luck comes into it.
That’s why it’s fun. 🙂
Yes, I have been there…forgiven but certainly NOT forgotten. Thanks for the nice start to my week – Cheers!
Ain’t that the truth. 🙂 Thank you.
Oh “The Corrs”, still remember when they were “in” back in the 90’s! Great shots!!! I’m sure she must have ordered a huge plate of ice-cream with umbrellas and fireworks…ahahaha! 😀
Those photos were taken an hour apart, so I’m guessing a lot of coffee was drunk. 🙂
Wow what great expressive shots!
Thank you.
Nope…. that’s as intricate as it gets.
Thanks. 🙂
Is this taken at the Strand Arcade? Amazing shots.
Thanks and yes, but the tables have been removed since I took the shots.
Intricate is a nice way of putting it. 😉
Yes, there are many many other words that would be appropriate.
Good one, Dragon. Not one, but two shots of the woman in a state of what looks like frustration. Thanks for sharing that song. Brought back memories 🙂
Thanks. I didn’t realise the second shot was of the same woman until I got home and looked through the images.
One of life’s greatest mystery, life itself.
One of life’s great mysteries, life’s intricacies.
Agreed. Thanks Ken.
no
🙂
Brilliant images! I wonder how many images did you take for these moments 🙂
Is there much in life more intricate than human relationships? Yes, my government and their policies 😀
Thank you. These photos were taken about 1 hour apart, so they must have had quite a bit to talk about. 🙂
Is that the QVB? Or the Strand Arcade? I’ll know not to have an intimate tete-a-tete in case you’re camera stalking. Ha!
You’re safe. Those tables at the Strand were recently removed after a petition was lodged by customers of that shop to shut me down. 🙂 I’ll bide my time.
You are right, human relationships are most intricate!
Thank you. A lifetime of understanding is needed.
Yep, it is… Why it’s so intricate?! 😕 Cool captures, Dragon. 🙂
Such are the mysteries of modern life. Life much much simpler when I was a youth in Middle Earth. 🙂
It was… Must be the internet social connectivity. 🙂
Probably. 🙂
Her expression fits perfectly! 🙂
It sure does. Thanks.
As always, I applaud the clarity and detail that you capture. I’m amazed that you can do this on the move.
That’s a favorite site for you…no one has spotted you to this point?
I heard there was a petition by customers of that cafe demanding protection from me. It’s now closed down and the tables removed. Oh well, searching for a new haunt. 🙂
Wait! Were they ordering pasties?
Yes, with Worcestershire Sauce. That’s pronounced “wuus-tə-shə”.
Worcestershire? Gross. [ grōs ]
I like the expression of the woman in the second pic. Have a nice week ahead my dear 🙂
Thanks Sophie. Have a great week too.
I like both shots equally – I don’t mind the menu, I just want to see what’s on it 😀 Great focus and facial expressions, Draco!
Thanks, Paula. That’s like me. As soon as I sit down, I want the menu. 🙂
🙂 Will you have something for me for Sunday (theme is Mirror Image). After that I will go away for a week (trip to Portugal)
My post on thursday night would be perfect except it is in colour. I’ll add a black and white image into it just for you.
How long will you be away for?
You are so sweet, Draco. You are talking about a post from last Thursday or this coming Thursday? Please, if you can send me the link.. I will be off on 12 May and back on 20 🙂 – just a week.
This coming one, in about 48 hours. You’re free to choose which you prefer.
Thank you 🙂

Smiled at once :)) Have a wonderful day my friend!
Thank you. Wishing you a good week ahead.
Thank you!
why simple when it can be complicated… nothing more intricate than human relationships… interesting captures to illustrate the topic, Lignum!!
Life would be too easy if everything was simple. Thank you, Alex.
Ouch! The activity of the first is in such contrast to the almost tired resignation of the second.
Is that true about the petition and tables being removed? I’m never too sure how seriously to take you . . . . 🙂
Those were taken about an hour apart so there must have been some serious talking.
Yes, the cafe closed and the tables were removed. I’ll leave the reason why to your imagination. 🙂
Indeed, relationships tend to be intricate… we are all unique, functioning in different ways. And we keep changing… maturing. Great photos and thoughts Draco!
That’s why they are a challenge and reward to maintain. Thanks, Elina. 🙂
