Sydney October 2014 – November 2015 (6 photos)

Locally, Sculpture by the Sea is one of the best events to find people interacting with and imitating large scale art works.

In particular, Quotidianity “the brothers” (2013) by Fabio Pietrantonio attracted people who wanted to have their photo taken with the sculpture. Some actually did a great job of imitating the art, imitating life. Others just wanted the usual selfie shot. These are two of the better “posers” I happened to photograph.

  1. Ha…didn’t realize what the post was about and thought “Creepy kids. No…creepy family.” Really amazing that we humans are driven to imitate the art we see–your wascally wabbit post showed that as well. (The little girl striking a pose is wonderful.)
